Gen 1 Night Vision Monocular
A surplus first-generation monocular from a hunting catalog: a Russian-made tube in a rubber housing, a built-in infrared lamp and one CR123A cell for about twenty hours. Gen 1 needs some light to work with. Under a moon it shows you shapes, soft at the edges and crawling with grain, and in a dark room it shows you nothing until you switch the infrared lamp on. Bright light burns its tube. Mount it on a combat helmet or a head mount you are wearing: drag it onto the Hat slot in the Clothing section, or Use it. Your night vision key (Z unless you changed it) flips it down and on, and up and off.
