Four steps to Day 0
You need a legal copy of GTA V on PC and the free FiveM client. The first connect downloads the custom world, map and audio once, so give it a few minutes.
Install FiveM
Download it from fivem.net and sign in with your Cfx.re account. It finds your GTA V install by itself.
Join the Discord and get whitelisted
A.P.O.C is whitelisted: you need the Whitelisted role in our Discord to connect. Accept the rules in #rules, then get whitelist access from the store (the role is added for you) or from staff. Restarts, season resets, the Exchange's rare sales and the photo archive are posted there. Keep the Discord app open when you connect: that links your survivor, and lets you sign in here to read your file. Join the Discord.
Connect
Press F8 in FiveM and type connect cfx.re/join/qqq7m49, or search for A.P.O.C in the server list.
Make your survivor
Answer three questions about your life before, pick your look, and drive to your appointment at Pillbox Hill.
The short version
- Adults only18 and over. The story is violent and grim.
- PvPvE means people tooOther survivors can rob, trade with, save or kill you. Give them a reason, either way.
- No cheats, no exploitsFound a bug that helps you? Report it in the Discord. Using it gets you removed.
- Stay in the worldEverything is done through the game's own menus. There are no chat commands, for players or staff.
- One survivor at a timeTo start over you end your survivor in a Last Stand. Nothing is deleted; their file goes to the archive.
Before you ask
Is this a roleplay server?
It's a story survival game. You don't need to stay in character or apply. Talk to people however you like; the world does the storytelling.
What is Day 0?
The tutorial is the night everything fell: a drive across Los Santos to a hospital appointment while the city comes apart. It's fully voiced, and Skip Day 0 unlocks once your account has finished it.
Do I lose my character at the end of a season?
No. The world resets: factions, settlements, loot and the economy. Your story, skills, gear, base and relationships carry over.
What happens when I die?
You lose what you were carrying, but never your keepsake. Survivors on Hardcore die for good, and their file closes in the Hall of the Fallen.
Can I have more than one character?
No. One survivor at a time. To start over, you choose a Last Stand: your survivor faces the horde one last time, and their file is archived, never deleted.
Can I trade on the Exchange from this website?
Yes, once you're signed in with Discord and have a living survivor. You can buy, bid, post and cancel buy orders, pull your listings, keep a watchlist, and list or fill orders with goods already in your collection box. It all pays from your Exchange wallet: deposit scrip into it in game (field kit, Exchange, Collect). The goods go to your collection box at the terminal you pick, and you collect them in person.
Is there a store?
Yes, and everything on it is access or cosmetic: whitelist access, a place nearer the front of the queue, gift passes for friends, a new name or face for your survivor, and base decor. Nothing on it changes how the game plays, and nothing from it can be traded or turned into scrip. What's on the store.
Can I buy or sell scrip for real money?
No. Scrip, items, survivors and accounts are never traded for real money. Doing it, or offering to, is bannable, and trades that look like it are held for staff. Report it through Support.
What do I need to run it?
Any PC that runs GTA V well. The server streams a lot of custom map and audio, so an SSD helps on the first load.
Patch notes
Day 0: the hospital
- The drive to Pillbox now passes both plane crashes, and they land like real crashes.
- The ward scene has its own cast of voices and plays one voice at a time.
- Only the nurse and the people in the ward room get subtitles.
Keepsakes and memories
- Your keepsake lives in pouch slot 5 and can never be traded, dropped or lost.
- Your answers about life before now change how you play, permanently.
- Fists barely hurt the infected. Find something better.
Sound and weather
- Fixed a bug that could break all game sound on this server.
- Roads only aquaplane when they're actually wet.
